Public Timetables and schedules for railroads were once freely available to all passengers and potential passengers. Today, many of these artifacts are highly sought after collectors item.

The Rio Grande Railroad was one of the last railroads in the United States to cede its passenger operation to Amtrak. This schedule, printed in 1980, shows the schedule of the famous Rio Grande Zephyr, eight years after the formation of Amtrak. Rio Grande ceased independent passenger operations in 1982.
