North Florida

Established in 1981, the North Florida Chapter has experienced numerous changes especially when the NS steam program was discontinued. The membership base is smaller than the days of the steam excursion, but no less stimulating. Our general membership meeting is generally the 4^th Thursday of the month (3^rd Thursday in November). In addition to video, slides and guest speakers at the monthly meeting, the Chapter plans at least one excursion every year; the most recent being the Sept. 2011 ride on the SAM Railroad to the Plains Ga. Peanut Festival. Of late, we have been partnering with the ACL-SAL Historical Society on an Annual Banquet in February. Please contact one of the Chapter officers if you have any interest in joining.
