The NRHS recognizes
members of the NRHS who achieve twenty-five, fifty, and sixty
years of continuous membership
To qualify for a pin,
all you have to do is maintain your membership in good standing
for the appropriate number of years of membership, without interruption.
Your eligibility is
based upon the year shown on your official NRHS membership
card that you began your continuous membership. Look in the
upper left-hand corner of your official "National Railway
Historical Society" membership card for this year. You will
see "Member xxxx - yyyy" where xxxx is the year you
joined the NRHS and yyyy is the expiration of your membership
(always the end of the current year). The year signified by xxxx
is what is used to calculate your eligibility for pins.
Members must maintain
continuous membership in order to be eligible for a membership
pin(s). Memberships expire on Dec. 31 of each year. Members who
fail to renew by March 31 lose their continuity of membership.
The membership pin
program is managed by our Director of Membership Awards.
There men's pin in
a lapel pin. Ladies have a separate "stick-type" pin.
