Highlights
of the meeting:
NOTE: The Meeting was open to all NRHS Members.
- President Molloy
opened the meeting with brief remarks about the Agenda and
expressed his appreciation to Harrisburg Chapter for hosting
the weekend's activities.
- Larry Eastwood,
Senior V.P., reported all 2001 25 & 50 year membership
pins have now been awarded.
- Youth
Photo Workshop was announced by Jim Andrisen.
- Various officers
and service directors reported on their contributions to
the Society.
- RailCamp
registration is progressing along well. RailCamp is now
a registered name of the NRHS.
- A new policy
on conventions was approved. Reports were given on the 2002
NRHS Convention and the 2003
NRHS Convention.
- At Grand
Canyon, ticket availability will be posted on their
web site shortly. Space is still available on most other
other events. Hotel space is also available.
- Baltimore
has settled on a convention theme, Star Spangled Rails,
and is actively developing an exciting calendar of events.
Their web site is also now active. The convention hotel
has been selected at the Wyndham Inner Harbor Hotel.
- 2004
NRHS Convention will be in Minneapolis, MN.
- We are seeking
Chapters to sponsor the 2005 convention.
- Future BOD
Meetings: The Fall BOD Meeting will be held in Mt. Pleasant,
IA 1-3 November. Includes visiting the Midwest Threshers.
The Spring 2003 Meeting will be April 4-6 in Richmond at
a Holiday Inn Select in Chesterfield County. Fall 2003 will
be hosted by Twin Forks Chapter. Fall 2004 will be hosted
by Utica & Mohawk Valley. We are seeking a host for
2004 Spring Meeting.
