For the first time in NRHS History, we will be providing daily updates and reports, including pictures, trip reports, and video clips, from the events at this year's convention right here on nrhs.com. If you can't join us, stay tuned righ here and check our web site daily for the latest news and newest photos and videos.

This year's NRHS convention in St. Louis has a fantastic line-up, including three steam excursions, a night photo session, railroad history seminars, shop tours, and much more! There are also activities aplenty for non-railfans, such as antiquing and riverboat dinner cruises. And of course, our desintation city, St. Louis offers many activities for all ages.

The 2001 NRHS Convention is hosted by St. Louis Chapter NRHS.

THE FUN OF GETTING HERE!

Here some really fun ways to get to this year's NRHS convention:

  • Amtrak - Offers daily service to St. Louis.

  • Piedmont Carolinas Chaper operated their 1950's era light weight lounge-buffet-pullman car Pine Tree State to the convention.

  • There were also several other private rail cars which carried conventioneers to our city.

  • Someone would surely complain if we didn't mention the ever popular automobile, bus, and airplane. But, we did say "Fun!".

2001 RAILWAY HERITAGE GRANTS WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

As is tradition with the NRHS Convention, the winners of the NRHS 2001 Railway Heritage Grants were announced at the Board of Directors meeting. The list of recipients was posted on nrhs.com late Friday Afternoon after the announcment is made.
