Night Photo Session

The Night Photo session was held at the Minnesota Transportation Museum's Jackson Street Roundhouse and featured 6 different scenes. The session was started at 10pm and ended around 1am and was attended by about 50 photographers. Steve Barry of Railfan & Railroad was assisted by Alex Mayes, both providing lighting with Lymedyne's.

The first two scenes featured the newely acquired Great Northern SD45 No. 400, the Hustle Muscle which is on indefinite loan from the Great Northern Railway Historical Society. The first scene was a 3/4 shot of the Hustle Muscle on the museum's turntable. The second shot featured a broadside view of No. 400 on the turntable. The third shot of the evening featured a former Dan Patch Electric Lines unit. The fourth scene was a going way shot of Lake Superior Terminal & Transfer No. 101 NW-2 and two restored Frisco PS-1 Box Cars. The last shot of the night featured three bays of the roundhouse open with the tender of three steam locomotives in view. The photo line was placed on the center of the turntable and the scene was lit from inside the roundhouse as well as outside.
