    No. 76

Heavyweight Pullman DOVER HARBOR rests at Silver Spring, Maryland B&O Station on November 30, 1981, not long after being acquired by the Washington, D.C. Chapter NRHS'. Since then the car has been fully restored to its 1934 interior appearance. The running gear is mechanically upgraded of its running gear to full Amtrak qualified status. Washington, D.C. Chapter operates the car, the only heavyweight Pullman revenue passenger car still operating in Class 'A' unrestricted service, as a living example of rail travel from the 1930's. Public Trip information may be found at http://www.dcnrhs.org. Information about the car and its history along with charter information may be found at http://www.doverharbor.com.
