    Time to Get Moving

A hostler at Soo Line's Schiller Park facility near Chicago climbs into FP7 No. 2500A to move it to the ready track in September 1979. This FP7 was used on the Soo Line's "The Laker" passenger train between Chicago and Duluth, Minnesota until this train was discontinued in the 1960s. The Soo Line used the 2500A in freight service until 1986 when it donated it to the Lake Superior Railway Museum in Duluth, Minnesota. The 2500A was repainted by the museum into its burgundy and gold passenger livery, and now is used in excursion service.
