Historic Plaque Program
(Recognizing Railroad Landmarks)


The NRHS has developed a program to formally recognize landmarks in Railroad History through placing a bronze plaque at/on the site. Some notable sites have included:

Applications are typically sponsored by/worked in conjunction with a local NRHS Chapter and are frequently done in conjunction with a milestone event for that landmark, such as a rededication, restoration, or a "birthday" (e.g. 75 or 100 years old).
